For the 2018 model year, the Buick LaCrosse is getting a significant update. All LaCrosse models will come with light electrification. The 2018 Buick LaCrosse will make its debut this fall.
All LaCrosse eAssist models will be powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a compact lithium-ion battery pack. That combination delivers a 19% increase in city fuel efficiency when compared to the V6 engine in the current LaCrosse. Along with improved efficiency, the system will also deliver torque-assisted launch, regenerative braking, and a stop/start fuel-saving system.
With this latest eAssist technology, the battery is smaller than ever and maintains the LaCrosse’s spacious trunk and fold-down rear seat.
“Executing innovative technologies in an approachable and meaningful way is core to Buick,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president, Global Buick and GMC. “By adding the eAssist system to the LaCrosse, our technology flagship, we are making electrification accessible to our customers as we chart our course to the future of mobility.”
Along with the light electrification, the 2018 LaCrosse will also come with available all-wheel drive, a newly-available nine-speed automatic transmission for V6 models, and three new exterior color choices.
The updated 2018 Buick LaCrosse will be coming to Bill Walsh GM Superstore this fall. Are you excited to try out this new light electrification feature?

If you know your cars, then you know the Chevy Chevelle is a classic. It has evolved over the years from the Chevelle to the Malibu, but we’ll always love its classic form. Check out some of the Chevelle’s history below.
1964 – 1967
During these years, the very first Chevelle premiered. It came in lots of variations to make everybody happy, from two-door coupes to convertibles, four-door sedans, and station wagons. It came with plenty of power too, with a V8 engine being offered in each body style.
1968 – 1972
The second generation Chevelle brought with it some updates. It swiftly became “America’s most popular mid-size car” and went through body style changes. In 1969, Chevy even developed a steam powered concept Chevelle.
1973 – 1977
The body and chassis of the Chevelle went through major changes in 1973. Then, in 1975, it got major updates with the Chevrolet Efficiency System. It gave the Chevelle even more power and efficiency than its predecessors.
After the Malibu versions of the Chevelles became more popular, the Chevelle officially changed its name in 1978; that’s how it became the Malibu of today.
You can check out a Malibu here at Bill Walsh GM today to try to get that old Chevelle feeling.
As we move through 2017, the automotive industry gets more and more exciting. Part of this is due to the fact that we are slowly moving closer to both fully electric and self-driving cars. The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt is of the electric variety and it will have plenty to offer. Here is what we know so far about this innovative vehicle.
Starting with the exterior, the new Bolt actually looks very modern and attractive. In years past, people didn’t want to drive electric or hybrid vehicles because they were designed similar to funky concepts. The Chevrolet Bolt, however, is changing this mindset.
When it comes to Bolt, most people want to know about how efficient it is to drive a fully electric vehicle . The Bolt will get an EPA-estimated 238 miles per charge. With the average daily commute for work at 40 miles per day, drivers have the possibility of going up to three or four days on each charge.
If you’re interested in saving yourself some money on gas while driving a car that’s incredibly environmentally friendly, look no further than the new Chevrolet Bolt.
To learn more, feel free to contact our staff at Bill Walsh GM Superstore. We would love to hear from you and discuss this inspiring new vehicle!
The experts here at Bill Walsh GM Superstore know that one of the biggest events in the industry is the international motor show in Geneva, which just recently finished up. What’s even more exciting is that this year, Chevy brought a special surprise to the Geneva Motor Show – a special Camaro variant. There have been a number of Camaro concepts over the years, but the Camaro Track Concept gave attendees a glimpse at a sports car that doubles as a track-ready supercar.
In a press release, Chevrolet referred to the concept as “a fast sports coupe for daily road use with the high-performance features for track use on weekends,” targeting auto enthusiasts who need a practical, everyday ride but want the opportunity to tear up the track when they feel the need. In previous teaser images, Chevy revealed the Camaro Track Concept would be a vivid bright green and that was definitely the case, as it truly glowed in the showroom.
The Camaro Track Concept was joined at the Geneva Motor Show by a variety of other performance-focused cars from Chevrolet’s lineup, including another Camaro model and two Corvette variants. Experts in the industry have pointed out the Track Concept bears a strong resemblance to the SS trim fitted with the 1LE performance package.
Everyone can do with a little cheering up during the final stretch of winter – that’s what makes Mardi Gras such a perfect occasion for a party. As the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, Mardi Gras is celebrated as a final indulgence before Lent begins. If you can’t make it down to New Orleans to partake in its krewe parades and out-of-this-world festivities, you can always throw your own event.
As with any party, you’ll want to get your guests in the spirit from the moment they walk through the door. Decorate with the Mardi Gras colors—green, purple, and gold—using everything you can find. There’s no such thing as too many decorations! Just remember to include plenty of traditional beads and masquerade masks.
Once your guests are there, keep the Mardi Gras party going by playing traditional New Orleans jazz and zydeco. Encourage guests to dress up ahead of time and then have a costume contest. Be sure to set out plenty of Cajun food as well. Beans and rice, Creole crab cakes, or muffuletta sandwiches are all good choices. And no Mardi Gras party is complete without the traditional King’s Cake, a tasty pastry with a hidden surprise baked inside.
Keep the music loud, the drinks full, and the spirits high, and you can count on guests of all ages enjoying your Mardi Gras party this year.
Which is Right For You?
There are quite a few reasons why buyers should choose an SUV or crossover over a sedan and just as many reasons why a sedan would be a better choice. Both options have clear purposes and it just depends on what your needs really are.
In the crossover/SUV segment, buyers will find an abundance of cargo space. This is beneficial if you have a large family or frequently carry large amounts of stuff. Crossovers and SUVs also give drivers a great view of the road ahead with their high seating position.
Another benefit in the SUV category is the availability of all-wheel or four-wheel drive. While you can get most models without it, the option is more popular here than with sedans. This leads into the next advantage with off-road abilities. While most drivers will never leave the road, if you want to, you’ll need an SUV to do it.
Sedans come with their fair share of advantages. One of these is fuel efficiency because of their smaller size, sleeker design, and numerous hybrid models that are available.
If you live your life above the 6-foot-tall range, you might find the headroom in a crossover to be a bit cramped; most sedans offer more space for tall drivers. Sedans also offer some of the best visibility on the road, especially when looking backwards. Finally, there’s no denying that some of the most attractive cars on the road are sedans. If you want sophisticated styling, choose a sedan.
