When Chevrolet revealed its 2016 Malibu at the New York International Auto Show, experts and enthusiasts were impressed enough by the many upgrades and modern styling. In fact, the new Malibu weighs a full 300 pounds less than its predecessor.
But more details from Chevy have consumers much more excited. The latest word is that there will be a hybrid variant of the model, one of the most fuel-efficient cars to hit the market.
The 2016 Chevy Malibu hybrid will reportedly get a combined 45 miles per gallon and will go on sale in the spring of next year. It’s not really a surprise that Chevrolet would make a hybrid version of one of its most popular vehicles, which would fit right next to the latest Volt and the brand new Bolt in the 2016 lineup.
