The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is set to become one of the most powerful production cars to ever hit the pavement. Its standard 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine already produces 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft of torque, but that isn’t enough for some enthusiasts. Hennessey Performance is already working on getting even more power out of the monstrous engine.
The Texas-based performance shop already has a few upgrade packages in the works. The lowest planned package is the HPE850, which pushes total engine output to 850 horsepower. That’s enough power to run from zero to 60 mph in as little as 2.6 seconds.
The mid-range HPE1000 package pumps those numbers up to 1,000 horsepower and 966 lb-ft of torque. That kind of power delivers a top speed of more than 220 mph and a 0-to-60 mph time of just 2.5 seconds.
The high-end HPE1200 package brings total engine output to a massive 1,200 horsepower and 1,066 lb-ft of torque. Properly equipped Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 models will be able to deliver a 0-to-60 mph time of just 2.2 seconds, putting it on par with some of the quickest production cars ever created.
We here at Bill Walsh GM Superstore can’t wait to see the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 in person!
