For the 2018 model year, the Buick LaCrosse is getting a significant update. All LaCrosse models will come with light electrification. The 2018 Buick LaCrosse will make its debut this fall.
All LaCrosse eAssist models will be powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a compact lithium-ion battery pack. That combination delivers a 19% increase in city fuel efficiency when compared to the V6 engine in the current LaCrosse. Along with improved efficiency, the system will also deliver torque-assisted launch, regenerative braking, and a stop/start fuel-saving system.
With this latest eAssist technology, the battery is smaller than ever and maintains the LaCrosse’s spacious trunk and fold-down rear seat.
“Executing innovative technologies in an approachable and meaningful way is core to Buick,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president, Global Buick and GMC. “By adding the eAssist system to the LaCrosse, our technology flagship, we are making electrification accessible to our customers as we chart our course to the future of mobility.”
Along with the light electrification, the 2018 LaCrosse will also come with available all-wheel drive, a newly-available nine-speed automatic transmission for V6 models, and three new exterior color choices.
The updated 2018 Buick LaCrosse will be coming to Bill Walsh GM Superstore this fall. Are you excited to try out this new light electrification feature?
The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is making a huge impact on the automotive industry right now. Between news coverage and awards, it’s hard to imagine the Chevy Camaro becoming any more popular! However, according to some news from Chevrolet, it just might.
According to the Chevrolet press release, the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro will include an available Camaro 1LE performance package.
The 1LE performance package makes its triumphant return with the latest model of the Chevrolet Camaro. The package offers a stronger track performance and better handling for Chevrolet’s signature performance vehicle.
The new 1LE package will also include features like magnetic ride control and a new FE4 suspension.
“The Camaro 1LE packages follow a recipe any track-day enthusiast will appreciate,” said Al Oppenheiser, Camaro chief engineer. “Start with a lightweight, stiff structure and then add higher levels of suspension stiffness and damping, more aggressive tires, higher downforce, more powerful brakes and more cooling.”
That recipe results in the best performance vehicle around: the Chevrolet Camaro 1LE!

We at Bill Walsh Chevrolet were thrilled to hear the new Colorado was named Motor Trend’s Truck of the Year. Despite having over ten different competitors for the title, the Colorado won in an astonishing unanimous vote.
“After days of testing, hundreds of miles on the road, and our most rigorous truck testing program to date, our editors unanimously selected the Chevy Colorado as our 2015 Truck of the Year,” said Edward Loh, Motor Trend’s editor-in-chief. “Colorado is a smart, capable, and refreshingly honest truck.”
According to Chevy, the judges were particularly impressed by the Chevy Colorado’s performance. The model comes with a stellar 3.6-liter DOHC V6 that’s perfectly paired with a six-speed automatic. The result generates over 300 horsepower. Not only that, the Colorado gets 26 highway mpg. No wonder Motor Trend said the Colorado makes a statement about fuel efficiency for trucks.
With all this and more, it’s no wonder the Colorado is everyone’s top pick.
