Jazzin’ at the Shedd: Things to Do This Summer in Chicago

Jazzin’ at the Shedd

Stop by the Shedd Aquarium every Wednesday for a summer concert series called Jazzin’ at the Shedd. This annual event showcases the city’s finest musicians at one of the most scenic areas in the region. This Navy Pier event also has refreshments and beverages, as well as a stunning fireworks display.

According to the Shedd Aquarium, you can also check out the 32,000 animal residents at the aquarium. Exhibits include a Wild Reef, Abbot Oceanarium, and the Amphibians. You can also take a tour of the lake on a Shoreline Sightseeing Classic Tour, getting a front-row seat to the fireworks display.

You can also see some renowned researchers and scientists in an informal setting at the Jazzin’ Science Pub. Ask questions, enjoy some drinks, and learn about recent breakthroughs in various fields. There will be special guests on the following dates:

  • August 17
  • August 24
  • September 14

Advanced tickets are just $18, while you can also buy them at the door for $20. For those looking to take the Jazzin’ Shoreline Fireworks Cruise, it’s just $35. Members can get in for free—just one of many benefits to joining the Shedd Aquarium society.

If you’re looking to have a fun night on the town or you simply want to support one of the best aquariums in the country, stop by the Jazzin’ at the Shedd event for an unforgettable experience.
